Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have my furnace and air ducts cleaned in Alberta?

Due to Alberta's dry climate, active winter heating cycles, and seasonal dust levels, we generally suggest scheduling a complete furnace and air duct system cleanout every 1 to 2 years. If you own shedding pets, suffer from seasonal asthma or respiratory allergies, or have recently completed home renovations, scheduling annual cleanings is recommended.

Do you use truck-mounted vacuum equipment?

Yes. For residential properties with suitable access, we utilize high-power commercial truck-mounted vacuum systems. These specialized systems produce thousands of cubic feet of negative air pressure per minute, allowing us to safely extract deep-set dirt, pet dander, construction dust, and other air pollutants directly out of your home and into our truck's storage system.

What is included in a standard furnace cleaning service?

Our standard furnace cleaning service covers the entire heating cabinet and active air delivery components. This includes cleaning the blower motor assembly, the burner compartment, the heat exchanger passages, the pilot assembly, and the internal housing. Additionally, we run a diagnostic test to verify that all systems are clear and functioning safely.

How long does an air duct cleaning appointment take?

For an average-sized single-family home with a single furnace system, the entire cleanout procedure typically takes between 2 and 4 hours. The exact timeframe depends on the number of hot-air vents and cold-air returns, the access locations of the ductwork, and the overall size of the HVAC system.

Do I need to do anything to prepare before the technicians arrive?

To help our technicians work safely and efficiently, we kindly ask that you ensure there is clear physical access (about a 3-to-4-foot perimeter) around your furnace, main return lines, and all hot-air registers and cold-air vents in each room. If you have pets, keeping them secure in a quiet area during the cleaning is highly appreciated.

Do you clean dryer vents as well?

Yes, we do. Over time, heavy lint deposits accumulate inside dryer exhaust vents, which restricts air circulation, increases drying times, and can create a home fire hazard. We provide professional mechanical dryer vent sweeps to restore efficient airflow and help protect your home.
